Andrea “Jill” Pratte, DHPE, MS, LAT, ATC

Assistant Professor in the Masters of Sport Science and Rehabilitation Program

Dr. Jill Pratte received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She completed a Masters of Science in Health Education Degree emphasizing Exercise Physiology & Cardiac Rehabilitation from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. Jill completed her Doctorate of Health Professions Education Degree here at Logan University in 2022. She holds a state license as a Certified Athletic Trainer and a National Certification as an Athletic Trainer.

Jill is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association. She is also an honorary member of the National Society of Leadership & Success. Dr. Pratte has been presented with the College of Health Sciences Outstanding Faculty Award twice during her time at Logan University.

 

Prior to joining Logan University’s Sports Science Rehabilitation Faculty in May 2020, Jill spent 20 years as the Clinical Education Coordinator as well as an Associate Professor in the Athletic Training Education Program at Central Methodist University (CMU) located in Fayette, Missouri. She was honored as Professor of Athletic Training Emerita of Central Methodist University. Before joining CMU’s faculty, she spent three years as a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer at Florida International University in Miami, Florida.

Jill has more than 20 years of teaching experience in higher education involving many areas of sports medicine and exercise science. She has a passion for teaching her students life long learning skills that will prepare them for a dynamic role in healthcare and sports science. Her online classroom facilitates an engaging learning experience to foster student creativity and collaboration.

Jill resides in Wildwood, Missouri, with her husband and son. She loves to landscape in her yard, fish and spend time outdoors with her family.
